dm-agent is a personal-use application built and operated solely by Jake Basel for his own Instagram professional account (@jakembasel). It is not distributed to, or used on behalf of, any other individual or business.

What data this app accesses
dm-agent connects to the Instagram Platform API to read recent direct message conversations on the @jakembasel account, for the sole purpose of identifying messages related to event attendance and drafting reply suggestions.

How data is used
Message content is read to classify interest level (e.g. confirmed vs. tentative attendance) and generate a suggested reply.
No message is ever sent automatically — all replies are reviewed and sent manually by Jake Basel.
Data is not sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Data is not used to train machine learning models beyond the immediate classification task described above.
Data storage
Pulled message data is stored locally on Jake Basel's own device for the purpose of generating a daily digest. It is not stored on third-party servers beyond what is required to call the Instagram Platform API itself.

Data retention & deletion
Local message pulls are retained only as long as needed to produce the daily digest and may be deleted at any time. To request deletion of any data associated with your account, contact the email below.

Third parties
This app does not share data with any third party other than Meta/Instagram, whose platform it operates on.
